Barrage Raffelberg / Germany
Period: 1999 - 2006
Country: Raffelberg / Germany
The river barrage Raffelberg was erected from 1916 until 1919 along with the canalization of the river Ruhr and the construction of the city port of Mülheim.
Due to the poor constructural condition, which would have finally endangered the water level capabilities, the barrage was renewed between 1999 and 2006.
The construction principle of the new barrage features a combination of solid dam threshold and moveable gates.
The scope of services of DSD NOELL included design, supply and installation of:
4 fish belly flap gates, torsion resistant, width 18m, height in closed position 4,9m, hydraulically driven through torque tube and drive arm
14 stoplogs, width 18 m
de-icing facility by air bubble device
