DSD NOELL erects Lift Gate in Nuremberg Navigation Lock

During the course of the annual 3 weeks stoppage of the navigation in the Main-Danube-Canal, which is utilized for inspection, maintenance and replacements of equipment in the navigation locks, DSD NOELL erected in-time and with precise fit the new vertical lift gate for the upstream head at the Nuremberg lock. The gate has been delivered as a single piece and lifted into position by a 220 ton mobile crane before coupling it to the gear rack and counterweights. Upon completion of work the canal MD-was open again for inland water transport and the “white-fleet” for tourism.
