DSD NOELL starts Phase II of rehabilitation of navigation locks of CAN-canal / Romania

Phase I of rehabilitation of navigation locks at ACN-canal has been complete. After the successful commissioning three locks [Cernavoda, Agigea; and Ovidiu] have been handed over to the customer. The equipment consisting of

• 1 Vertical Lift Gate 25mx16m
• 1 Vertical Lift Gate 25mx9.5m
• 1 Vertical Lift Gate 12.5mx7m
• 2 Mitre Gates 25mx16.5m
• 1 Mitre Gate 25mx9m
• 1 Mitre Gate 12.5mx7m
• 8 Culvert Gates 3mx4m

with a total weight of approx. 2,500 tons has been designed, fabricated, erected and equipped with latest technology of hydraulic hoists and electrical control equipment. Now phase II of the rehabilitation has commenced in which the second half of the navigation lock twin chambers shall be modernized by end of 2019.
