Technical description:   

In 1997 DSD NOELL constructed a double-track link span with switching points and counterweights as well as a movable landing ramp and a fixed ramp in the ferry port of Sassnitz-Mukran on the Baltic Sea island of Rügen in Germany.

The link span serves as access to and from the ferry boats for railway waggons.

Link span (railway ferry bridge):

• length: 62 m
• width on waterside: 24 m
• width on landside: 13.2 m
• hoisting capacity: max. 3.2 m/min

Movable landing ramp:

• length: 24 m
• clear width: 5 m

Fixed ramp:

• length: 9 m
• clear width: 5 m

The total weight of the structures supplied and erected by DSD NOELL is approx. 1,200 tons.
