In 1997 DSD NOELL was awarded the contract for the complete hydromechanical works including hydraulic drives and control systems for the biggest water power plant in Nepal of the present time.
      
The scope of supply contained the design, manufacturing and erection of:
    
Diversion dam
2 radial gates, clear width 15.00 m x height 19.65 m; 1 radial gate with bascule gate, clear width 15.00 m x height 19.65 m; dimension of bascule gate, clear width 7.00 m x height 7.55 m. 1 set upstream stoplog
(10 stoplog panels), clear width 15.00 m x height 19.00 m; 1 set downstream stoplog (5 stoplog panels), clear width 17.00 m x height 8.80 m; 2 upstream gantry cranes, rated capacity 30 tons.
      
Intake structure
6 radial gates, clear width 10.00 m x height 10.63 m; 1 set upstream stoplog (5 stoplog panels), clear width 10.00 m x height 10.00 m; 1 set intake trashrack (60 trashrack panels), width 73.50 m, height 12.00 m; 8 undersluice steel linings, dimension of 1 steel lining, clear width 2.00 m x height 1.50 m, length 5.50 m; 8 undersluice gates, clear width 2.00 m x height 1.50 m. 1 trashrack cleaner, rated capacity 30 tons, lifting height 34.00 m.
      
Collector channel
12 Inlet slide gates, clear width 4.50 m x height 4.00 m; 1 gantry crane, rated capacity 11 tons.
      
Desander basins
12 flushing channel steel linings, clear width 4.00 m x height 3.00 m, length 13.50 m; 12 flushing radial gates, clear width 4.00 m x height 3.00 m.
      
In addition, various pieces of equipment were supplied for the power house, the fishway, the desander basin and the collector channel.

The entire weight amounts to approx. 3,500 tons.
