In 1986 and as a member of a consortium, DSD NOELL was awarded the contract for the design, fabrication and erection of the hydromechanical equipment consisting of:

  • 2 radial gates (16.0 x 15.8 m; total weight 360 tons)
  • 1 intake gate (6.4 x 6.4 m; weight 31 tons) the top part of which is designed as a roller gate and the bottom part as a slide gate
  • 1 roller gate (4.60 x 5.00 m, weight 125 tons)
  • 1 slide gate as outlet gate (4.5 x 4.5 m; weight 28 tons)
  • 1 power house crane
  • 1 raking machine

This work was completed in 1993. In 1996 DSD NOELL was awarded an additional contract for the improvement of the hydraulic situation in the trifurcation. Thanks to its engineers’ technical competence and experience DSD NOELL was able to identify the required modification measures by measurements on the site and model tests. By these measures the output of the 3 turbines could be increased by about 5%.
